Panaji, May 30: Manoj Srivastava, director of the film which featured in the short film corner section in this year's Cannes film festival will be heading Entertainment Society of Goa.
 
"Manoj Srivastava, deputy director with the Directorate of Film Festival (DFF), will be joining ESG as its chief executive officer," Nikhil Desai, general manager, ESG, stated.
 
He said that Srivastava will be joining in next couple of months as he is yet to be relieved from his DFF resposibility.
 
The DFF senior officer, had his nine minute short film "Hum Panchchi Ek Daal Ke,'' featuring in the short film corner section.
 
ESG, a state government body, has been hosting international film festival of India in Goa since 2004 which is annually held in the month of November-December.
 
Srivastava is associated with the IFFI for last 15 years and has been in-charge of national film programming, Desai stated.
 
Goa government which shouldered IFFI responsibility four years back formed ESG as a special vehicle to conduct the festival. The ESG is also a single window for clearing shooting permissions in the state and also holds smaller film festivals.
