Karkala, Jun 4: The annual day celebrations of the Hospet unit of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) were held recently at the Holy Cross church, Hospet.  Fr Alban D'Souza presided over the programme.  Fr Anil D'Souza, ICYM director, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.  Wilfred Mendonca, vice president of the parish pastoral council, Ronald D'Souza, ICYM animator, Raymond D'Cunha, director of Mangalore Catholic Co-Operative (MCC) Bank, Ester Noronha, Mangalore's popular singer and Bharatanatyam artiste, were the chief guests present on the occasion.
 
ICYM Hospet president Selvyn Colaco welcomed the gathering.  Secretary Prima Nazareth presented the annual report. Shanti Coutinho compered the programme.

Cultural programmes were performed by the members of ICYM Hospet unit.  'Ester Show', a programme presented by Ester Noronha that was the major attraction of the evening, was an instant hit and drew lot of  appreciation from the crowd which applauded enthusiastically.
