Bengaluru, Sep 23: In the run up to the 2018 assembly polls in Karnataka likely to be held during the months of April and May, the ruling Congress party in the State launched its "Mane Manege Congress" door to door campaign with the objective of reaching over a crore households in the State.

The Chief Minister of the State Siddaramaiah flagged off the campaign at Ramagondanahalli Playground in Mahadevapura in the presence of KC Venugopal, AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka, Dr G Parameshwar, President, KPCC and other senior party leaders.

While Dr Parameshwar has set himself an ambitious task of visiting 66,000 booths and meeting workers across the state.

Party workers will also distribute booklets in different languages, highlighting work and achievements of the Congress in the last 5 years.

The Mane Manege Congress Booklets contain details on all poll promises delivered by the party and the various welfare schemes initiated by the Karnataka Government including Anna Bhagya, Ksheera Bhagya, Pashu Bhagya, Arogya Bhagya, Krishi Bhagya, Vasathi Bhagya, Vidya Siri, Mid-day meal, scholarships, Namma Metro, Soura Bhagya, Ksheeradhaare, Nirmala Bhagya, Shuddha Neeru, Runa Mukta, Vasati Bhagya, Rajeev Arogya Bhagya, Hani Neeravari, Manasvini, Maitri, and Invest Karnataka 2016.

The booth level agents will not only distribute booklets to more than 1 crore homes but also collate feedback forms from every household. The forms will help assess the party’s weaknesses and work on ways to strengthen it.

The main objective of the campaign is to reach out to people at the micro-level to communicate their successful programs and seek their views on the current Government.

Dr Parameshwara, in his speech, said, "Karnataka Government has been successful in ensuring political stability and providing people friendly programs with decisive leadership in the last 5 years."

The party in 2013 Assembly elections manifesto had promised 165 objectives and in the period, since the party has come to power, we have delivered 158 promises. Our track record is excellent. With this campaign we are trying to fill the communication gap by disseminating the Government’s achievements to the public, he said.

He said the party will appoint 66,000 booth-level workers covering all 224 Assembly constituencies for the campaign.

A booth-level workers’ conference too will be organised next month which the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will attend.

Sonia had one Son in law, Robert Vadra....Modi has two Ambani and Adani....that's why we don't have control over Petrol and Diesel prices...

When US and most of developed countries selling petrol for under Rs 40 we pay double the price...may be Ambani petrol in strong....like country liquor...

If Kejriwal orders audit of Petroeum cost analysis...I am sure some HC judge will grant a stay like they did for audit of Ambani Power in Delhi...
