Indian economy fastest growing: BJP downplays Yashwant Sinha's remark

New Delhi, Sep 27 (Deccan Chronicle): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday downplayed senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha's criticism of the Centre, saying Indian economy is the fastest growing in the world and the country's credibility has been established in the international arena.

Singh, who was responding to a question on Sinha's remarks over the state of the economy, said no one should forget these facts about the country.

"The whole world admits that India is the fastest growing economy in the world. No one should forget this fact. In the matter of economy, in the international arena, India's credibility has been established," he told reporters in the national capital.

The BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought in landmark reforms, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), Union minister Piyush Goyal said, while saying that Indian economy is the fastest in the world.

In a newspaper article headlined, "I need to speak up now", Sinha criticised Arun Jaitley over what he called the "mess the finance minister has made of the economy".

Sinha, a former finance minister in Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA government who has been sidelined in the party, claimed a revival by the time of the next Lok Sabha election was "highly unlikely" and a "hard landing" appeared inevitable.

BJP seems be confused with 'bullet train' with Indian economy. Though both have yet to be seen in reality other than virtual world collateral damage already visible.
Mr Sinha must have already seen the facts. But PM Modi and his economic advisory deliberately hiding the facts.
It is time for PM Modi to keep his 50 days promise. For his party 100 deaths due to demonetisation is too small in billion populated country.
It is true that more that 1.5 million jobs lost great economic blunder nation cannot afford slow death of its population when the emphasis of the government is only center around 'Gau Mata'.

Pros of the present central government
    1. Good foreign policy. Now we can boldly say that we are from India. Also good job with helping distressed NRI's abroad & evacuating them when it's necessary.
    2. Major reforms like GST, Demonetization even though are causing downturn in economy at present are good in the long run. I agree that we all would be dead in the long run, but we have to die to live & not live to die.
    3. Bold cross border & other surgical strikes which would eliminate terror & guerrilla attacks in the future.
    4. Bold decision to sell Air India & it's subsidiaries.

Cons of the present central governemnt
    1. Not reigning in protein rakshak groups.
    2. Overseas recruitment agents & others helping them need to be brought to the law. The whole process of overseas employment need to be streamlined. The less educated need to be kept in touch with even after they start their employment abroad. Indian embassy & consulates can have a separate division to handle this.
    3. The speed & safety of present railway & quality & sanitation of the coaches need to be improved before introducing ultra high speed trains. It's more important to improve the safety of table top airports before starting bullet trains.

People made fun of one of the great Economist in the world Dr. MMS without even knowing what was his contribution to this great nation. This is exactly opposition wanted from people so that they will vote for them. Once they got the power, they thought this nation, Economy, people are in their pocket. They stared buying people, media, companies from tax payers money. Played emotions in the name of nationalism, patriotism, culture etc.

    And the result is.........

GDP is the fundamental barometer of a country's economic growth and nobody can manipulate that. A declining GDP coupled with declining rupee and stock market is a clear indication of deteriorating Indian economy. No need for a rocket scientist for this.

There is no doubt that the present BJP government is free from corruption and contributed in several lakh crores to the exchequer indirectly by not indulging in any scams unlike UPA!!
But BJP has to accept the fact that several policies and decisions have affected the Indian economy. Demonetization, irrespective of its long term benefits, has caused a serious dent on economy.

BJP should also understand that whatever might be the frustrations of Yashwant Sinha, and whatever brownie points he wish to score from his article, there are facts in what he has written. Though it is not as gloomy as Singh writes, inaction, could lead to it in due course of time.

BJP, pull up your socks and get to work. I am very eager to see a market boom soon after a bearish week!!

Scams have not stopped Mr. Ivor. But only difference is now they are not highlighted by the Media.

Demonetization is a biggest blunder in the History ( The recent facts have shown).

Economy will not grow during BJP regime . Because it has great Idea but very poor in planning the implementation
