Moodbidri, Jun 7: Dr Sneha Amaresh, a former student of KMC, Mangalore was killed in an accident when the bike her colleague was riding was hit by a speeding tipper. The accident occured on the Aikala state highway at Muggerkala here on Thursday June 5.
Dr Sneha Amaresh, all of 23 years, was serving at the Moodbidri government hospital after having finished her MBBS from KMC. Hailing from Bangalore, she had married Dr Amaresh six months ago.
On the fateful day, Dr Sneha and five of her colleagues were returning after their visit to the Kateel Temple when a tipper moving at high speed rammed against one of the bikes, ridden by Dr Miraj. Dr Sneha who was riding pillion fell on the road and sustained serious head and neck injuries. She was rushed to the hospital but breathed her last on the way. Dr Miraj escaped with minor injuries.
A resident of Bangalore's HSR Layout, Dr Sneha Amaresh was the eldest daughter of Bangalore businessman Malli Reddy and Bhramaramba.
The case is being investigated by SI Sudarshan, led by Mulky circle inspector Suresh.
