Mangalore, Jun 7: The silver jubilee celebrations of Campco Employees' Cooperative Society will be held at Town Hall here on Sunday June 8 at 4.30 pm.
Speaking at a press meet here on Friday June 6, silver jubilee celebration committee convener Krishnamurthy informed that the programme will be presided over by Campco Ltd president S R Rangamurthy.
Campco founder president Varanasi Subraya Bhat, former presidents K Ram Bhat, B Nagaraj Shetty, commissioner of agriculture Dr Rajneesh Goel, Campco former MD A A Desai, deputy registrar of cooperative societies P P Palangappa and Campco managing director P Madhusudan Rao will be the guests of honour, he said.
Elaborating on Campco Employee Cooperative Society's journey since its inception in 1983, Rangamurthy said that the society has introduced a number of schemes for its employees and has recorded profits every year. The society is made up of 641 members whose share capital adds up to Rs 50,12,760. Apart from giving dividends to the members every year, the society has also forwarded a loan of Rs 3.18 crore at an interest rate of 10.50 per cent, he informed.
Among those present were silver jubilee committee office-bearers B S Sathish, S Raghvendra Aithal, C N Shastri and M C Shetty.
