Mamata congratulates Akhilesh

Kolkata, Oct 5 (IANS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday congratulated former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on being re-elected the national President of the Samajwadi Party.


"Congratulations and good wishes" on becoming the President for the next five years, Banerjee tweeted.

Yadav was on Thursday unanimously re-elected the President. He will spearhead the party's campaign in the next Lok Sabha and assembly elections.
