Two boys die of suffocation after getting stuck in car for nine hours

New Delhi, Oct 6 (PTI): In a tragic incident, two boys, aged four and five respectively, died of suffocation after being stuck in a car for close to nine hours in outer Delhi's Ranhola, the police said today.

The incident was reported on October 3.

The two cousins were playing inside a car owned by the father of one of the boys, said a senior police officer, adding that the car was parked near the owner's house.

At around 1 pm, the owner of the car, who works as a taxi driver, locked the vehicle through central locking, without realising that the children were in it, the officer said.

After a few hours, when the family members realised that the children were missing, they rushed to the police station in a neighbour's car to file a complaint.

Meanwhile, one of the relatives of the boys unlocked the door of the car in which the children got stuck and found them in an unconscious state, the officer said.

The boys were rushed to a hospital where they were declared "brought dead" by the doctors. The post-mortem report said they died due to suffocation. There were burn injuries on their body.

    1. How can a person lock the car without noticing someone is inside. The car is not too long that 2 human beings present is unknown. They may be small kids, but not noticeable ?????
    2. You go to the police station in neighbours car? Owner parked his car near his house. In spite of it, he uses neighbours car ????
RIP little angels. You both are now in safe hands of the Almighty.

So much to a thema caring children at home.Nine hours children were missing ,and noone was worried?whether they ate,or where they gone,?Before locking the car ,didnt even hear any childrens voice when they played?Cant understand. So sorry about the children. How sad two children from same family is too much to digest that too from careless ness from home people.Poor Angels may they rest with angels above .I would say ,file a case against parents, but they are now punished for their life by loosing their children.heartfelt sympathy to them.
