Margao, Jun 13: Concerned about the raising number of educated unemployed youth in the village, Canacona Youth Front (CYF) has urged government to give priority to village youth in private and government jobs.

CYF have presented memorandum in this regard to chief minister Digamber Kamat and have urged to look into the matter.

In this Memorandum CYF has said that youth from this village are skilled in various fields. Hence the government should not sideline this taluk and should give jobs to them.

CYF has presented copy of same to industries department, seeking help to get jobs for youth in various private firms.

It is a very strange that private companies in the state appoint labour contractor to get the employees. As the youth from Kolkata and Bihar are ready to work for minimum salary, they are approached for jobs. Thus Goans lose jobs in their own state.
