Wanted – Aamir Khan to Play Guru Dutt

Mumbai, Jun 18: Bollywood star Aamir Khan is reportedly being sought to play the yesteryear cine stalwart Guru Dutt in a film.

Ad filmmaker Shivindra Singh Dungarpur is said to be working on a film that will be homage to the late actor-director-producer Guru Dutt. And no prizes for guessing who is working on the movie’s script – Anurag Kashyap , the self-confessed, rather self-proclaimed, admirer of Guru Dutt.

Anurag, along with Karan Bali, is giving valuable inputs about Dutt’s life.

And the buzz is that Dungarpur has approached Aamir Khan to play Dutt in the film. However, the whole talk is tentative at the moment because the film’s script is being worked upon and Aamir – the perfectionist we know him to be – will give his nod or denial only after going through the script.

Dungarpur has previously worked with Aamir in wristwatch commercials and he shares a good rapport with the star.

By the way, Aamir is presently very busy with the promotion of his upcoming production Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na which hits the theatres on July 4. The actor-producer recently made an appearance on Salman Khan ’s show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ with his nephew Imran Khan (the film’s hero).

After the film’s release, Aamir will begin working on his next production Delhi Belly and will also shoot the remaining portions of Ghajini (Hindi) .
