Pakistan Army downs Indian drone

Islamabad, Oct 28 (IANS): The Pakistan Army has said it had shot down an Indian "spy" drone along the Line of Control (LoC), the media reported on Saturday.

"Indian quadcopter spying across LoC in Rakhchikri sector shot down by Pakistan Army shooters," Asif Ghafoor, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), tweeted late Friday.

The ISPR chief also tweeted pictures of the wreckage which, he said, had been seized by the Army, reports Dawn news.

There were no immediate details as to how deep the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) had intruded into the Pakistani side of the LoC.

On November 19, 206, a UAV was downed in the same sector when it had intruded 60 metres into Pakistani airspace.
