Udupi, Nov 3: In retaliation to a minor incident of argument over a glass used for consuming liquor in a bar, an unidentified man left three persons seriously injured, after attacking them with a blade.

The injured happen to be Dinesh Biskarma, Rajesh and another friend, Paranudas, all from Chattisgarh. It is said that all the three had visited a bar at Malpe on Wednesday evening. When they were having drinks, an argument arose between Dinesh Biskarma and an unidentified man seated by his side, over the glass used for consuming liquor.

Later, all the three were standing near Ayyappa temple near Malpe port on the way to their homes in rented sheds near the port, when the said unidentified man suddenly approached them, slashed his blade at Dinesh near the abdomen, opening up the skin and tissues and exposing the small intestine. He also inflicted injuries to the chest of Rajesh and stomach of Paranudas with the same blade, it is said.

All the three got admitted into hospital for treatment. Dinesh Biskarma, in a complaint filed at Malpe police station, has sought registration of first information report against the said person.
