Kundapur: Body of man found hanging by rope

Kundapur, Nov 7: The body of Umesh Mogaveera (32), resident of Koravadi in Kumbhashi village in the taluk, was found hanging near the boat building yard of Manganese Wharf at Gangolli in the taluk on Monday November 6 morning.

The body was found hanging by a rope at a spot where boats are built on Manganese Road in Gangolli. Umesh used to work as the driver of a boat since a year. As the man's death happened under suspicious circumstances, his family members who believed that he did not have any reasons to end his life, alleged that it was a case of murder. The mortal remains were thereafter referred to KMC Hospital Manipal for postmortem.

Byndoor police circle inspector, Parameshwara Gunagi and Gangolli police sub-inspector, B Subbanna, visited the spot and took up the investigation. A case was registered at Gangolli police station.
