Seven killed in Iraq helicopter crash


Baghdad, Nov 12 (IANS): An Iraqi helicopter crashed on Sunday in Wasit province, killing seven crew members, the military said.

The Mi-17 helicopter was in a training mission when it crashed. "All of its seven crew members were killed," Xinhua news agency reported.

The accident occurred as Iraqi security forces were carrying out a major offensive to drive out the Islamic State militants from their last stronghold in Anbar province.
