Fr Sunil Veigas, parish priest, Holy Rosary church, Alangar, blessed the reopening ceremony. Rodwin and Ida Mendonca, parents of 18-year-old Renwick Mendonca, the proprietor of the firm, were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Renwick and his parents said, "We are grateful to Almighty God for his blessings and the courage he has given us to reopen the shop. We cannot forget the help and encouragement that we have got from our valuable customers. During the tragic fire mishap, all customers came to our help. They all inspired us to overcome the fire incident and reopen the laundry without any delay."
