Shots fired, 38 lakh stolen from outside Delhi bank


New Delhi, Nov 13 (IANS): A gang of robbers opened fire and stole around Rs 38 lakh from a person outside a bank here on Monday, a police officer said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Omvir Singh told IANS that the robbery took place outside a branch of the Corporation Bank in Vasundhara Enclave in east Delhi around noon.

"The gang robbed a petrol pump owner. They fired some three rounds," the officer said.

The DCP said that no one was injured.
