Gunfight erupts in J&K

Srinagar, Nov 14 (IANS): A gunfight erupted on Tuesday between militants and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, police said.

As soon as the security forces cordoned off Nowbug village in Qazigund area following information about the presence of the militants, they were fired at, triggering the fighting.

"The gunfight in ongoing," the police added.
