Train kills two elephants in Assam

Guwahati, Nov 19 (IANS): Two elephants were killed after being hit by a speeding train near here on Sunday, a railway official said.

The incident took place near Thakurkuchi railway station in Chandrapur area when a herd of elephants were trying to cross the railway tracks in search of food.
