Bantwal: Excise Officials Confiscate Spurious Liquor

Banwal, Jul 8: The excise officials who raided a provision store located in Keddalike in Kavalamudooor village in the taluk on Monday July 7 2008, arrested a person who was seen selling sachets containing hooch.

The arrested has been identified as Suresh Poojary. The raid was led by Bantwal excise inspector Amarnath S Bhandary. A total of 320 sachets of illicit liquor and six bottles of whisky were confiscated during the raid.
