Kundapur: New Office-bearers of Rotary Sunrise Installed

Kundapur, Jul 10: Newly-elected office-bearers of Rotary Kundapur-Sunrise were installed in the investiture ceremony recently held at Rotary Laxminarasimha Kalamadira here. Dr G G Laxman Prabhu, medical officer, KMC Mangalore was the chief guest. Haji Abusheikh Saheb, the new president Kundapur Rotary Sunrise club and B M Chandrashekhar, secretary and the members of the club governing council were formally invested with different offices for the year 2008-2009. The deputy Governor Rotary Club Dr M N Adiga released the first issue of the monthly magazine of the club titled 'Sooryodaya'.

The zonal lieutenant Chandrakanth Gangolli wished the newly-installed office-bearers every success in the course of their new regime. The students who scored good marks in the recently held SSLC examination were given scholarships in cash to enable them to pursue higher education. The outgoing secretary Gajanana Bhat read out the annual report. The outgoing president Ajay Havaldar welcomed the guests. L J Fernandes and Dinakar Shetty compered the programme. The newly-installed secretary B M Chandrashekhar proposed vote of thanks.
