Udupi: Artistes Convey 'Population Control' Message through Sand Art

Udupi, Jul 10: Local sand artists Srinat Manipal, Venky Palimar, Ravi Hirebettu, Purandar Malpe, Manjunat and Mohan of Manipal Sand Art Institute, sculptured sand art on the sea shore located opposite of Kaup light house with the message, ‘Control population, Save World."

The initiative was part of 'World Population Control Day' which will be observed all over the globe on Friday July 11.

    Shocked to see the message written in English. I think the population explosion mainly exists among local undereducated people. I dont understand by writing message in Engligh, who is target of the art work? Real issue concern or trying to get silly awards?
