41 IPS Officers Transferred in State - S Ravi New SP of Udupi

BANGALORE, Jul 11: In a major overhaul in the top echelons of the police force, the State Government has transferred 41 IPS officers. Shankar Mahadev Bidari, who was the Additional Director-General of Police, Intelligence, will be the new Bangalore Police Commissioner.

The incumbent, Neelam Achutha Rao, has been posted to the newly created post of Additional Director-General of Police, Internal Security.

S.C. Saxena has been posted as Chairman and Managing Director of Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation.

S.T. Ramesh has been transferred and posted as Additional Director-General of Police, Crime and Technical Services, Bangalore. Dharmapal Negi has been posted as Additional Director-General of Police and Inspector-General of Prisons, Bangalore.

B.E. Umapathy has been promoted and posted as Additional Director-General of Police, Administration, Bangalore.

Bipin Gopal Krishna has been posted as Inspector-General of Police, Karnataka State Human Rights Commission. K.S.N. Chikerur has been posted as Inspector-General of Police, Railways. B.G. Jyothiprakash Mirji will be new Inspector-General of Police, Intelligence. Khazi Abdul Hafeez has been posted as the Additional Commissioner of Police, Administration, Bangalore City.

C. Chandrashekar has been posted as the Inspector-General of Police, North Eastern Range, Gulbarga; M.N. Reddi as Inspector-General of Police, Corps of Detectives; M.R. Pujar as Additional Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City (Law and Order); M.V. Murthy as Inspector-General of Police and Commissioner for Traffic and Road Safety, Bangalore; Alok Mohan as the Inspector-General of Police, Karnataka Power Transmission Company Limited.

Commissioner of Hubli-Dharwad City N.R. Nadamani has been transferred and posted as Inspector-General of Police, Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force, Bangalore.

He is being replaced by Deputy Inspector-General of Police N. Shivakumar.

Mysore Police Commissioner P. Ravindranath has been posted as Inspector-General of Police, Administration, Bangalore. S. Parashivamurthy has been promoted and posted as Mysore Police Commissioner.

Sanjay Sahay has been posted as the Inspector-General of Police, Head Quarter-I, Bangalore. B. Dayananda has been posted as Deputy Inspector-General of Police and Commander, Anti-Naxal Force, Karkala and Amrit Paul as Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Division, Bangalore City.

P. Harishekaran has been posted as Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Crimes, Bangalore; K. Srinivasa as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic East Division, Bangalore City; M. Nanjundaswamy as Deputy Commissioner of Police, City Armed Reserve Head Quarters; B.N.S. Reddy as Superintendent of Police, Kodagu district, Madikeri; M. Nimbalkar Hemant as Superintendent of Police, Chickmagalur District, Chickmagalur; Manish Kharbikar as Superintendent of Police, Mandya district, Mandya.

    I am happpy to know that a Commandent for ANF has been appointed. Mr. Dayanand who did a brilliant job as SP Mangalore can bring Naxalism into control in Karnataka.
