Karkala: Severed skull of calf found - Attempt at fuelling communal tensions?

Daijiworld Media Network - Karkala (SP)

Karkala, Dec 20: The severed skull of a calf was found abandoned near Parappu Bridge at Kukundoor near here on Wednesday December 20. This incident appears to support the oft-repeated allegation of the people that illegal slaughterhouses have been operational in the taluk without the fear of law enforcement agencies.

A gang that is involved with the theft of calves which have been found roaming freely in public places for slaughter appears to have been very active of late. It is said that the flesh of the calves is mixed with mutton when supplying to hotels and catering agencies. It is believed that this way the concerned are able to pocket good profit.

Some locals have expressed the suspicion that throwing of the severed head of a calf in public place may be the handiwork of people who want to foment hatred between people from different religions and thereby give rise to communal clashes.

This incident is becoming viral on WhatsApp and Facebook pages. The police, realizing the seriousness of the incident, have posted personnel at strategic spots to keep a watch on law and order situation. A special police team has been assigned with the task of finding out the culprits behind this incident. A case about the same has been registered in the town police station here.

Whoever had done this, they will be caught and all citizens have to put them to shame, irrespective of their affiliation to the Organisation or to the political party.

It might be a ' contract job" ' given by the agents, to the unscrupulous gang for only one purpose ie to ignite communal violence.

Let these type of things happen; but do not get disturbed. Let awakened citizens lead a matured life and be educated. During election kindly vote for good and able candidates only. Do not be blinded by party or religion. Our future is in our hands. We have to build it up. Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.

This is just the beginning and just a sample of things to come until May 2018.
Elections are fast approaching and such or more serious things will happen.
Well known opposition election strategy to blame minorities for vote bank.
I am pretty sure there could be more communal issues and moral policing
We need to be vigilant and tolerant and not jump into conclusions.
We should not get carried away by all this, lose judgement and turn violent.

If there is slaughter house than they will keep the cows in closed shed and if thy are slaughtering the cows than they will not keep anything open i.e. throwing cow skin, or skull as they know that they will be punished...... This is done by some hindus to create unrest with the community. Shame on these people who are creating such tension in the region. Now it is election time..... some where you will find mutilated body, severed skull of calf etc.

Reminds me of hoisting of Pakistani flag by right wing activists im Bijapur on 1st Jan 2012 which was a 'Hnidutva plot just to forment strife' as reported in The Hindu dated 12th Jan 2012. These oufits are capable of stooping to any low. Dragging MMS into colluding with Pak is just an example of the recent past. And given the fact that this was initiated by party's top leadership, one can very well imagine capabilities of people at lower rungs.

If there are communal clashes, BJP will gain. Yediyurappa under guidance of Amit Shah can go to any extent to gain power. But mind you this will spoil the name of Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar who is doing very good work. Karkala needs MLA like Sunil Kumar and MP of Udupi Shobha should be kicked out of Udupi. I cannot rule out role of Yediyurappa through his sweetheart Shobha in this episode as Shobha is good for nothing. She is good only to create communal tension and get votes.

@Santhu birve mangalore, there is nothing to get frustrated in karnataka.Guzarat and karnataka are two quite different numbers.why should karnataka have fear.?When lost ,then we will see what next and why. There is nothing to hide .People who make problems have to shiver.Instead we all should join hands to findout who is behind this nasty acts and trying to spoil the communal peace. Not each for self fight and noone will win ,but peace is also disturbed. Also?Because of beef all this is happening. Before BJP came ,there wasnt communal voilation at this rate.
