Puttur: 12-year-old student thrown out of moving bus, dies

Puttur, Dec 30: In an incident that occurred in Kodya Kallu of Shiradi village under Uppinangadi police station limits, a student was thrown out of the moving bus that was carrying students who had come for the school excursion. The student died on the spot.

This mishap occurred on Friday December 29 when the door of the bus opened suddenly.

The unfortunate boy who lost his life in this incident is identified as Chandru (12), a resident of Bhoothanavasooru village of Mandya district. He was studying in the seventh grade at Nethra Higher Primary School, Mandya.

The driver of the bus did not notice that the door of the bus had opened and continued driving the bus. As a result Chandru, who was sitting near the door was thrown out of the bus and sustained grievous injuries and breathed his last on the spot.

Chenniah Gowda, father of the deceased boy, has filed a complaint in the Uppinangadi police station with regards to this incident. It is said that the negligence on the part of the driver is the reason for this incident.
