'Murder number 21', tweets Pratap Simha on Deepak killing, meets Rajnath Singh

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jan 4: Amid the protests over the murder of Deepak Rao at Katipalla near here, BJP MP Pratap Simha on Thursday January 4 led a protest in Bengaluru demanding NIA probe into the case and also several other similar cases.

"Murder number 21: How many more do u want @CMofKarnataka @INCKarnataka Ramanath Rai n Ramalinga Reddy gaaru?," Pratap Simha tweeted, questioning chief minister Siddaramaiah, the state Congress government, Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai and home minister Ramalinga Reddy.

BJP MPs protested in front of the Gandhi statue outside the parliament in New Delhi holding placards condemining the murder of Deepak Rao. They intend to raise this issue in the parliament during the 'zero hour'.

Speaking to journalists, R Ashok, former chief minister, said, "Deepak Rao belonged to pro-Hindu organization. Popular Front of India (PFI) is behind this murder. Congress government is directly responsible for the death of Hindus."

"When we were in power, were there murders of Congress party activists? Government instigates PFI. Chief minister has to resign owning the moral responsibility for Deepak Rao's murder," he added.

The BJP MPs also met union home minister Rajnath Singh and urged NIA probe into the murders of right-wing activists in the state.

"We met Union Home Minister @rajnathsingh ji n demanded NIA inquiry regarding the series of political murders that are taking place in Karnataka, including Deepak Rao," Simha tweeted.

Earlier in the day, Karnataka home minister Ramalinga Reddy dismissed the demand.

Of the 25 Indians who died over the eight-year period, 21 were Muslim, or 84%. As many as 139 people were also injured in these attacks. More than half (52%) of these attacks were based on rumours, our analysis found.
In the first six months of 2017, 18 cow-terror attacks were reported–75% of the 2016 figure, which was the worst year for such violence since 2010.
In 24 attacks, the attackers were mobs or groups of people who belonged to Hindu groups, such as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and local Gau Rakshak Samitis.

    Mr Pratap Simha,

Now why did you politicise this issue?.
There are many loopholes in this murder.Instead of going to Victim's family u took long journey to Delhi.Shame on you.

Deepak Rao family already getting rs 5 lac + 5 lacs from CM's relief fund.CM's relief fund is for natural disasters victim. Now why this appeasement.

I condemn this murder ,this shouldn't have happened ,its not only deepak or sharath etc, there are melricks, mohammeds also getting revenge murder. It doesn't become any big saga.

I urge the state govt ,these 4 dumb**** be questioned by other police officers, not from coastal region.Video should also be taken when they confess to their crime.

And I want to ask the MP, are you taking pride in counting ? so that you get so many chances to abuse the govt.

You are asking how many congress activists were killed during BJP rule. which means it is evident that to come to power by hook or crook you create communal disharmony by provoking

How much more are we getting into dividing the people for votes. No one understands this political agenda how much it affects our Armed Forces also in which all people are there united and guarding the Nation.
Leave all discussions and first and foremost, remove the cast/religion from all forms and place only economic criteria. All problems solved and only the actual 100% BPL will receive all benefits and Leaders will stop confusing and using people for their benefits.

When you were in power there weren't murders? Are you ignorant or trying to be ignorant? 27 Hindus were killed during BJP term in Coastal districts alone. And you say no one was killed? Ask none but Pramod Muthalik.

He would give you exact number of who were killed during BJP govt with their names, address and the names of people/organizations who are responsible for these murder? And in your count of 21, have you included Vinayaka Baliga, Harish Poojary, Praveen Poojary, Krishnaiah Pathali, Ashok Maroli and 12 others who were killed by members of Hindutva organizations? Hypocryite! You wait for Hindus' murders so that you can gain some votes. You don't grieve when these innocents are killed but your celebrate it because murder of one Hindu by a Muslim can bring you 1000 votes. You all are not leaders but vultures waiting for the dead bodies!

Dear Pratap ,I appreciate your concern on prevailing situation in Karnataka more particularly in DK....but we have no much expectation on BJP govt at Delhi. They are busy in thinking of getting muslim votes...for next election to stay in power.

Muslim problems are addressed quickly now not majority Hindus. We were accusing Siddu govt for minority bhagyas but now ashamed to see BJP in Delhi following his footpath.Latest 'Shadi shagun' is a clear case to prove my point.

Tripple talaq of course yet another step in this regard. In WB,Kerala and in our own fist do many Hindu brothers were murdered beaten up but BJP is sitting pretty in Delhi counting muslim votes.
