Bantwal: Two youngsters killed after bus rams into two-wheeler at Panemangalore

Bantwal, Jan 4: Two youngsters were killed in an accident at Panemangalore near here on Thursday January 4.

The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Harshid (18) and Azad (20), both residents of Sajipa.

The two were riding in a Honda Activa when a KSRTC bus rammed into their two-wheeler at Panemangalore bridge.


Both Harshid and Azad sustained grave injuries and were rushed to a hospital, where they breathed their last.

    Proper road rules must be assigned to bus drivers. Buses drivers think they are invincible and can drive however they please. There must be strict rules against speeding of large vehicles and other preventive rules and policies that can prevent dangers like this.. RIP

    No wonder. I appreciate some one mentioning the bus seen driven recklessly. Agreed, may be in this incident. Or else, I bet it's 99 % wrong from the two wheelers. I see them driving havoc. Especially these youngsters ( look at their age , 18 and 20 ) they drive so recklessly.... both in this BS Road area and also Thokkottu , Kuthar , Deralakatte area... looks police are not allowed to enter these zones. Looks like... or else how so young kids can drive vehicles on the main road, with out helmet and most of the time on triple ride. They just drive, come fast to fact o heavy vehicles, cars.... threatening you... assuming you will stop. If you don't , that's end of their story. they will be head on bang and will collapse... but unfortunately they don't realize and dare to drive so reckless. So, unless strict actions by police on these youngsters driving reckless, this will on going...

    Yesterday almost same time when i was passing from this side in Alto, a KSRTC red bus heading to Bangalore from mangalore came with deadly speed by overtaking a truck and i had to stop the car leaving everything to God....KSRTC officers please take note of this....you say govt. buses got speed governors. Then how come they ride almost 100 speed. I also urge our Bantwal political leaders to take some measures regarding this by consulting KSRTC officers please.

    Good advice.

    I would actually recommend 25 as the minimum age.

    The very young drivers are least aware of the dangers on the road, as the statistics around the world show.
