Three More four-lane Roads for Udupi: Ragupathi Bhat

MLA K. Raghupati Bhat inaugurated the new four-lane Kalsank to City bus stand stretch for two-way traffic by waving a green flag near the Katte Acharya Road here on Sunday.

Speaking to presspersons, hat said that all vehicles, except lorries, would be allowed on the Kalsank to City bus stand stretch. The project of laying a four-lane road from Karavali Junction to Kalsank would cost Rs. 32 crore. The four-laning of Kalsank-City Bus Stand on this stretch was nearing completion. The remaining City bus stand to Karavali Junction stretch would be completed by December-end. A sum of Rs. 15 crore had been released for the project, he said.

The four-laning of the Ambagilu-Kalsank Road was under way. The four-laning of the Ambagilu-Tangadagadi stretch had been completed. The four-laning of the remaining stretch from Tangadagadi-Kalsank would be completed by December-end. The widening of the Kinnimulky-Taluk Office Road had been completed. The Diana Circle Road would be widened by demolishing a portion of a building at the Circle, Bhat said.

In the next phase, the four-laning of Kadiyali to Manipal stretch would be taken up, he said.
