Panaji, Jul 25: The State has been put on Red Alert following blast in the Bangalore city.
"Goa has been put on red alert and this is Goa specific alert," Superintendent of police North Bosco George stated.
The state, which is a major tourist destination, has tightened up its security at major centres and also presence of police have been increased on vital stations like bus stand, railway stations and other public places.
"We have sent the wireless and force is being mobilized," George said.
Though the police have mobilized the force as precautionary measures, they ruled out any specific information on the State as the next target.
"We are taking abundant precaution to ensure that anti-social people can't take the advantage of the situation," a senior police officer mentioned.
