Udupi: Guest lecture on cultural exchange held at Milagres College, Kallianpur

Udupi, Jan 24: Department of English, Milagres College, Kallianpur organized a guest lecture by Rebecca Stonefield and Andrew Narrative from England for under graduate students.

Rebecca Stonefield, the author of four books, also a trainer for the children on writing skills said, “Diverse countries like India do provide ample opportunities for the young writers to shine; students should habituate themselves to the art of writing.”

Andrew Narrative, civil engineer specialised in water and sanitisation, who worked in the slum community of East-Africa, spoke about the social awareness the students should possess.

The session was followed by an interaction with the students. Dr Vincent Alva, principal of the college, and Prof Cyril Mathias, HOD of English were present. Jovita of III BSc compered the programme.
