Karkala: NMAM Institute of Technology bags prestigious award

Karkala, Jan 29: NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte bagged the prestigious ‘Best Accredited Student Branch Award’ from the India’s largest and oldest body of IT professionals, Computer Society of India for the year 2016-17.

With more than 600 membership counts, CSI Student Branch at NMAM Institute of Technology has conducted more than hundred technical events including conferences, workshops, technical talks, seminars, quizzes, paper presentation and various competitions for engineering students in last three years. The selection for the award was based on the last three years' performance and activities among nearly 400 institutes.



Prof Sharada U Shenoy, associate professor, department of CSE, the CSI Student Branch Counselor at NMAM Institute of Technology also received the ‘Longest Continuous SBC award’ for her contributions towards CSI activities at the institute.

Prof Sharada U Shenoy, received the awards during the 52nd annual convention of CSI, with the theme ‘Social Transformation - Digital way’ at Science City, Kolkata on January 21 in the presence of CSI president Dr Anirban Basu, Executive committee members of CSI and the dignitaries from all over India.
