Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2 p.m.

New Delhi, Feb 6 (IANS): The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 p.m. on Tuesday after Trinamool Congress (TMC) members created a ruckus over alleged interference of West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi in the state's work.

Soon after the House met, Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu completed important legislative business and rejected several notices given by the TMC, TDP and Akali Dal.

As TMC's notice was rejected, party member Derek O'Brian opposed the move. He was heard asking how a Governor can interfere in an elected government's work.

Naidu asked the TMC leader not to raise the issue of the Governor in the House but O'Brian continued with his remarks.

The Chairman then adjourned the house till 2 p.m.
