Pyongyang, Feb 6 (IANS): North Korea on Tuesday renewed its sharp attack on US President Donald Trump for his State of the Union Address, describing it as "intolerable provocation".
Trump, in his address a week ago, said that North Korea was threatening the US mainland by "reckless nuclear and missile pursuit", reports Xinhua news agency.
Trump also attacked North Korea over "degeneration" and "oppression" as well as "human rights", according to the official Rodong Sinmun daily.
"This is the intolerable politically-motivated provocation and tyrannical blackmail of the boss of gangsters and hysteric fit of a lunatic against the DPRK," the daily said in a commentary.
North Korea had earlier condemned Trump's State of the Union Address as an "omen of new disaster" for the world and "pure perversity to check progress of inter-Korean relations".
In his address, Trump described North Korea as an enemy country with which no compromise and concession will be made by Washington over its nuclear and missile programme.
