Sullia, Feb 10: A complaint was registered in Subramanya police station saying that Mayilappa, physical education teacher of a private school, manhandled the lady head teacher of another school. This incident occurred on Thursday, February 8.

The lady head teacher, native of Udupi, lives in a rented room in Chathrappady in Guttigaru. In this very building, another male teacher of a government school also lives on rent. On the night of February 8, Mayilappa, who is a physical education teacher in a private school and also the brother of the owner of the building, objected to the presence of the male teacher in the lady head teacher's room and took them to task.

The lady head teacher conveyed the incident to her relatives on Friday, February 9. Accordingly, the family of the head teacher went to the police station along with both the lady head teacher and the other teacher of a government school who was present in her room on the night of the incident and registered a complaint against Mayilappa, of manhandling the lady head teacher by pulling her hand during the argument.

Mayilappa's wife also arrived at the police station to register a counter complaint in this regard against the lady head teacher and the other male teacher. Heated argument ensued between both the parties. In the meantime, the lady head teacher suddenly fell ill and was taken to Subramanya primary health centre for treatment.

Police officers of Subramanya police station discussed the issue with both the warring parties and solved the matter amicably.
