Beltangady: Youth brutally murdered by own father, brother; cops arrest both

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (SP)

Beltangady, Feb 12: In a shocking tragedy, a man allegedly killed his own son with the help of another son. The incident took place late night on Sunday February 11. Both the accused have been arrested.

It is learnt that the victim, Naveen (28), son of Manjunath, living at Matla in Kasba village here, was allegedly murdered by his own father. The father was allegedly helped in this heinous act by his other son, identified as Raghavendra.

The duo indiscriminately attacked Naveen with a knife in his abdomen and thigh, as a result of which he suffered grievous injuries and lost his life on the spot. The police said that a trivial fight between the father and son led to the gory murder.

Both Manjunath and Raghavendra work as astrologers in the town, while Naveen worked in the farm of the house.

It is said that on the occasion of celebrating new year on December 31, 2017, quarrel had erupted between Naveen and his father, Majunath, on some frivolous reason. In a fit of anger, Naveen had manhandled his father. Manjunath was seething with anger on account of this insult. At around 9 pm on February 11 when the family was having dinner, verbal friction arose between family members. The quarrel culminated in the murder of Naveen after Manjunath and Raghavendra joined together in stabbing him in his abdomen and thigh.

Naveen is married and he has left behind wife and two children. The family is of Hassan origin. On the basis of complaint filed by Naveen's wife, Baby, a case stands filed in the police station here.

Both Manjunath and Raghavendra were arrested by the Beltangady police while they were trying to escape in their Xylo car.

Beltangady police have registered a case and investigations are on.

Yes everyone expects that the father should have forgiven his son....but the father was hurt in his ego when his own son beat him....neither the diseased son at the spur of the moment realize that he was beating his own father...forgiveness requires much reflection... forgiveness requires letting go of our egos....we all live on egos....the present forms of religion are only teaching us to be egoistic by fighting for our own religions....in fact the fruit of true religion is peace and forgiveness. How strong are we in our egos that we forget that we are killing our own siblings...the greatest power on earth is not revenge but the ability to control oneself at challenging situations....otherwise, the consequence is too dangerous like in this case. Mastery of onself is the skill all of us should learn to be practiced in all situations and thus avoid severe consequences. The mind should rule in such cases and not the heart. RIP Naveen

Thats the point.. Not intrested in hurting someones belief.. but still, people have to learn a lesson from this.. if he dont know about his tomorrow, how can he know about others...People know this fact, but not ready to accept the truth. There is noting to get offended, its the truth

See here Naveen manhandled his own father where this itself is a sin .
Manjunath his brother watching this creates enemity in his mind.
Father instead of developing revenge he should have forgived his own son.
Because Forgiveness always hold the key from taking cruel step

Intelligent police would have avoided all these mess. In the first instance itself they should have taken son family away.
Any small trouble should be addressed immediately without wasting time..

    Obviously siddu goberment is responsible...
    I said first instance...
    What does it mean?
Minimum expectation was reduce crime rates by solving disputes intelligently.
Here police and government failed utterly...
Minimum civil authorities like Tahashildar or DC should have visited at first instance and solved the problem.
    Government has no such vision..

    Jagdish,

Try to understand - a quarrel that started over New Years celebration ends when its time to V-Day. Who are the people to be celebrating New Year ? They are not from Western influenced community - look, father and son are astrologers, the other son who is not is celebrating New Year.

Whereas some organizations have come to mend the ways public, by stopping them from celebrating V-Day. Isn't it correct for all of you to be peeping into the loopholes in your own family ? This is what meant by Ahmed.

Go, sponsor the victim's children for their upbringing !
