Seven shot dead at Valentine's dance in Mexico


Mexico City, Feb 16 (IANS): At least seven people were shot dead at a Valentine's Day dance in a Mexican town, authorities said.

The shootout took place on Thursday in San Juan Lachigalla, Oaxaca state, as people were celebrating, including family members of Mayor Rafael Melchor Ruiz, reports Xinhua news agency.

The victims included Ruiz's father and son, the authorities added.
