Honnavar: Narrow escape for Bhatkal MLA after country bomb explodes in culprit's hand

Honnavar, Feb 26: Bhatkal's independent MLA Mankala Subba Vaidya had a narrow escape after a country bomb exploded near the dais during a programme he was participating in.

This incident occurred late night on Sunday February 25 at Hosada village near here in Uttara Kannada district.

A major tragedy was averted as the bomb exploded in the hand of the person who intended to throw the same on the dais. The culprit suffered grievous injuries especially on his hand.

Police have arrested the person, who tried to commit suicide once the bomb exploded in his hand. The culprit has been identified as Raymond Miranda.

A case has been registered and investigations are on.

    I am really surprised to see all comments starting a particular community is peaceful? LTTE was full is same community.the school in accidents in US always same community.dont have the mentality that a particular community is peaceful and others one is terrorist.

    @Rathan mangalore,I find he got his punishment just on the spot.Our elders used to say previously one had to wait long for their punishment.Now need not wait for punishment.when you are now talking of communities, in every community peaceful or violent,there is always a blacksheep inevery community.Here we are not fighting against any community.Not even our other community Evangelists

    It's same like america's actual intention was to bomb earlier Kyoto City now it's called Tokyo. As time was less pilot dropped bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
    Raymond Miranda's intention also different..unfortunately it exploded in his hand.
    Wants to check who else also involved in this act..should investigate thoroughly.
    Also check from where did he obtained all things to manufacture crude bomb.
    Did he also involved in any other place...like in ajmer bomb blast..hyderbad church bomb blast..samjhauth express bomb blast ...etc..

    With the incompetence shown I doubt if he did any other bombing especially as the bomb was not very powerful. It would be interesting to find out who was behind it as the intention appears to be to incite communal violence

I really dont think, this person had done with self interest.... Its a major conspiracy.     even they confused now after looking at the name who was tried to explode bomb. no one is tried to link his name to his religion, everyone is trying their hard to justify it.
    if, if the name belongs to particular community. then.
    all bhakts would have started campaign Bhatkal chalo till now.

    shobhakka will get first bus to reach bhaktkal with no time.
    sharan pumpwell will wait untill satyajith suratkal will reach mangalore to block highway.
    yeddyurappa will get his new bullet proof landcruiser for campaigns and rallies.
    modi will get confused which country to travel to find out bomb proof jacket for him.
    ananthkumar will loose again his mental balance and give immature statements, with no time.
    NIA will submit report with no time, with reaching connection to pakistan by bullet train.
    income tax department will provide report how it was funded from zakir naik.
    whole assembly sessions will be on hold by bjp blaming congress to support such criminals.
    court will take around 35 to 40 years to find out why the bomb was planted.
