Patna, Feb 28 (IANS): The Hindustani Awam Morcha-Secular (HAM-S) on Wednesday announced its exit from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) with the BJP and said it would enter the Grand Alliance, a party leader said.
"We have left the NDA," HAM-S spokesperson Danish Rizwan told IANS. He said HAM-S would be joining the Grand Alliance led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal, during the day.
"A press conference will be held by former Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav along with former Chief Minister and HAM-S chief Jitan Ram Manjhi. They will make a formal announcement of our entry into the Grand Alliance," Rizwan added.
Manjhi stepped out of the Janata Dal-United in 2015. He formed HAM-S the same year and forged an alliance with the NDA ahead of the Bihar assembly polls in 2015.
