Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi

Udupi, Feb 28: A man was hacked to death by a gang late night on Wednesday February 28 at Padubidri here.

The deceased has been identified as Naveen D'Souza (42), a resident of Kanjarukatte.

It is learnt that a group of four unidentified persons came in a Swift car and brutally attacked Naveen near a bar in Padubidri. They escaped from the spot soon after committing the crime.

Sources said that Naveen was an accused in several cases, including two murder attempts, in Padubidri police station.

Naveen was murdered because of some old rivalry, it is suspected.

Dear all, why are you connecting any murder or death to the Government. ? Are they responsible for their personal life?

Does any government has the guts to close Bar & Restaurants, Wine shops? NO, because they want people to drink, fight & kill each other.
Benefits for the government many..... Money from Liquor, work, money to the Police, money to Lawyers to complicate the situation, court case, never ending result, stamp papers, affidavits, this certificate that certificate, this document that document etc etc...
All earning money in the incident.
Who is the loser? Both the parties who are fighting never ending court case till their pockets are empty without any result.

I feel sad for him , May he RIP. However when a Congi supporter died last week, no one really cared as he did not belong to the minority. Instead they laughed it off saying 'Had he been a BJP, Govt would have given in 25 lacs' .

His picture only speaks the core.. lost sheep. Feeling bad for his family. People comment good riddance, saving tax payers money etc & etc., Its their own opinion I dont want to intercept.

But just imagine such person can be in our families too and we never know.. Its time for us to think what went wrong in some ones life. Its the weak law and order in our country create the criminals? These Individuals have multiple criminal records, still roam Scott free to commit more crime?

Four more criminals hacked him to death. Its a committed crime not accidental. Itself says how confident they are. So they can get over with this and live for some more time on bail.

Full independence for Goons in the state. Government, police has no control over the Goons. They can kill anyone. This is the situation in the state. Only God can save the lives of innocent people. Time to throw out this government because there is total Law and Order failure in the state.

What Albert said is right, why should police encourage killing people even though they are goons, Police's job is to catch the criminals and get them punished as per law of the land. Every petty criminal should get a chance to rehabilitate after jail term. Killing should be applicable only for dreaded criminals and terrorists.

We are really fed up with these news of people coming either in bikes or car ,hacking someone and runaway.Mangalore is not what it was.younger people indulge in criminal acts and and get killed. What they leave behind is their poor family with sorrows and problems.I can only appell to younger generation, kindly dont indulge in dirty politics ,learn something and work for your family to lookafter.Dont make your parents to cry ,after they cared for you for many years. This will not only make you happy and last save your life. One who gone behind the margin has to pay with his life as this one.sad but true.may his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to his family.I am sure the culprits will be caught and punished.
