Karti Chidambaram's arrest: No govt interference, law must take its course, BJP says

New Delhi, Mar 1 (TOI): Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday rejected Congress's allegations of political vendetta in the arrest of Karti Chidambaram and said the law would take its course.

"There is no interference from the government and the law must take its course," Prasad said after Karti was arrested by the CBI in connection with its probe in the
The minister said the nature of evidence available against the offender must speak for itself and not the "alibi" of vendetta. "The law is taking its course. The law must take its course. The CBI will explain all the details. We do not wish to interfere. There is no interference from the government," he said.

Karti's arrest comes days before Parliament resumes for the budget session from March 5, which is likely to be stormy with the possibility of the opposition raking it up.

After Karti's arrest, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP leader Subramanian Swamy hinted that P Chidambaram could be next. "All of Karti's crimes have come out of decisions taken by P Chidambaram and the (now-defunct) Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB). The trail will lead to P Chidambaram," Swamy said and added, "Karti is a beneficiary of (P) Chidambaram's corrupt acts".

What an honest fellow this Karti is! Everybody is running away and he came back! Plus he failed to obtain any LOU or thousands of crores of loans from banks. In the present scenario he deserved to be arrested.

What more?? When a party says its not involved, shows the guilt. Definitely the wrong doer must be punished. However, its sad that our Law enforcing agencies also are influenced by government in Office, since enforcing departments are in the fear of losing their jobs or transfers. Unless they become fully independently performing watchtowers, developed India will ramain only a dream for ever.

Looting state's treasure and committing Economic offence is worst than murder.

You are snatching bread and butter of Millions of Citizen, who are helplessly bailing out the Banks through heavy Tax. In nutshell these people raping their motherland without remorse.

Last year Bangalore based Biz Tycoon. This year Mumbai based. and Yesterday Kolkatta Based IT Company.

Few day's back South Korean Public Prosecutor's demanded 30 Years Prison sentence to Disgraced South Korean president for Nepotism. She was kicked out from President's post by Constitutional court and her immunity was abolished for corruption of USD.5.5 million ( Rs.36 Crores ) . Her beneficiary was sentenced for 20 years.

Just compare corruption amount of South Korea and India's scam.

Who will prosecute our India Politician's......and their Biz Proxy's.......???????

KC's arrest based on CBI's claim that they have additional (addition to eralier alleged INR 10 lakhs bribe) evidence based on Indrani Mukherjee's statement who's not only CO ACCUSED in this case but also in prison for having killed her own daughter. Is the statement of a co accused valid? Is that the reason why CBI couldn't file a charge sheet in the first place?. Considering the fact that KC's family being qualified lawyers, it wouldn't be a surprise if the entire thing boomerangs on BJP.
