Mangaluru: BJP has no moral right to hold 'Jana Suraksha Yatra'- Ramanath Rai

Mangaluru, Mar 5: District in-charge minister Ramanath Rai on Monday, March 5 said that BJP had no moral right to organize 'Jana Suraksha Yatra'.

Addressing media he said, “BJP and Sangh Parivar are the main reason behind communal problems in the district. The intention of BJP through 'Jana Suraksha Yatra' is to provoke people to indulge in violence and divide the society on the basis of community. Hence, they have no moral right to organise such rallies,"

“People can clearly see that BJP leaders are delivering hate speeches at 'Jana Suraksha Yatra'. Not even once, MPs Pratap Simha and Ananth Kumar Hegde have used stages for spreading messages of peace. They are known for their communal speeches. So how can one call the rally 'Jana Suraksha Yatra'?" he added.

“In my taluk, people have been killed only from the past five years, four by BJP and Sangh Parivar and one by another organisation. After the murders, both parties engaged in defending the killers. Congress has never spoken in favour of killers. So the question of supporting killers does not arise," he said.

“Yesterday at Sullia, they displayed a tableau with the caption of 'Siddu Darbar'. Finding the tableau communally provoking, the police seized it. This makes it clear that 'Jana Suraksha Yatra' is not for ‘Raksha’ but to disturb peace and communal harmony. Hence, it is my kind request to the people of the district not to fall in BJP’s trap and provoking speeches. It is essentail that people remain wise to maintain peaceful atmosphere in the district,” Raid said.

Harish Kumar, district Congress president, Ibrahim Kodijal, Shashidhar Hegde, Kavita Sanil, A C Vinayraj and others were present.

You do not have the moral right to comment on anything. You are just a appeaser of minority and for selfish political gains stopped midday meal of hungry children.

Why the BJP's 'Jana Suraksha Yatra' is not reaching in the border where our soldiers saw highest death, extending help to farmers in Maharashtra highest in decade or Children's dying in Gorakhpur hospitals without oxygen?
Is holding 'saffron flag' shouting 'Bharat Mata ki jai' at high note and taking procession will deliver commitment to our nation?
If BJP is serious about this nation let at least half of its 10 crores members pledge organ donation and one unit of blood each month. One salary per year to feed the hunger of this nation.
Take this procession clean to polluted rivers, lakes and voluntary clean to increase the water table and reducing unnecessary spending burdening economy.
Jana Suraksha Yatra without any cause just for politics of polarisation is worthless.
In this golden period of BJP, it is easy to win election. But difficult to deliver promises.

Initially after marriage, bride will hesitate to talk to strangers even if they are the family members in groom's place. She will come to know the inner facts and truths of good and bad things only after some months or years. So, for any Govt for that matter - when first got elected thru majority, they don't have idea what is the problem in Hospital, DC office, Village office diff. departments working and their staff attitude. Corruption, non implementation of any project, construction of roads, bridge, water supply etc will be knows only when people raise voice. So.. have patience... Blood donation, Helping the handicap people, Serving financially backward families, aged persons caring etc are organised by so many NGO's. WE CAN NOT DEPEND ON GOVT for these facilities of our society completely. It takes time to plan, develop and implement the good things....

    Mr.JK, southkanara
Sir, When new baby borns to parent no mother teaches the baby how to suckle. Likewise the rule apply to the bride.
Any sane democracy 4 years of ruling with full majority would have produce at least 10% of the result promised in the manifesto. During PM Modi India only saw development of 'Hindutva' while most of the time government spent blaming the previous government.
For your knowledge every social scheme is reduced under this government including health care.
Gentleman, argument is weird and baseless without any sustenance.

Even after 70 years why our Politicians or Political parties act like Partisans towards Minorities (who are now inching towards Majority), Back ward classes, SC, ST’s etc. Our Fore Fathers during our Countries Independence felt the to support the weaker section of the Society, where as they never asked our Political Parties to pamper them and make them dependent even after 25 yrs or 50 yrs. There should be a time limit. Hence the ruling party’s appeasement Policy has created the wedge between the Majority and Minority.
Ask any Government Servant; they curse the Promotion Policy, as their Promotion is superseded by the Pampered class, even they are not suited for the Post. You go to their colonies; you find most of them loitering around, including the educated or school dropout Youths. Who had spoiled them? Now our Age old Political Party Leaders talk about Komu galabe and Sauharda. Shun the Partisan approach, treat every Citizen equal. Do not interfere with Law enforcing Officers. Then we can see the difference.

Politics does not have any moral when it policy bends towards one direction. Congress is doing this since its birth and India became independence. It maintained that un-touchability policy towards Hindu and Hindu philosophy. They till today depend on divide and rule policy of British. Badavara Udhara, Hindulidavara yelige, Alpa sankhyatara udhara etc etc.. They won't have a proper plan to give education, guidance, opportunity and welfare of these groups in our Society. They are purely treated as their VOTE Feeders by bribing SAREE, LIQUOR Money and so many stupid gifts which these people enjoy for a day or month and again get dumped in same ditch - Poor way of living. All Udhara and Bhagya really helped these politicians to gain Assets, property, Jobs for themselves , family and their own friends circle. So.... don't teach moral to we citizens... give equal opportunity and abolish reservation in education/jobs etc for selected community only... Give JOBS not Bhagyaas...

Soldiers died in vain during 65 and 71 war with Pakistan during Congress period, and the Political Bosses asked Army to retract, leaving behind the area which was conquered.
After 70 years we are talking about Farmers death, shame on our Political Bosses who ruled our country (???)

Only if we had a more efficient and agile district in charge minister, the BJP's nefarious designs would have been nipped in the bud. This man is a total waste to the people of this district. He is only interested in retaining his chair and nothing else.

Nothing can be far from truth than this...only reason you are saying this, you don't know Rai well....

I would advise you to meet another CONgress leader Vijay Kumar Shetty ( Former Surathkal MLA) and ask him about Rai, by the by both were roommates in college days...

This is same guy who assaulted a KSRTC bus conductor( When he was first term MLA) who refused to stop a non-stop bus...this is same person, when Janardhana Poojary wanted to give party ticket, Moily called and told Poojary, this guys head was shaved by Police for obvious reasons...

Ask anybody from Bantwal CONgress if he allows anybody to grow in the party except his stooges...

Before commenting here, do some research man....Honest???...you changed the definition of honesty....this guy is most uncivilized politician of undivided DK...

Forget the Yatra of BJP. The Tiger of Bantwal to this day has not arrested Kalladka Bhat as per the promise he roared in his pre- election speech in Bantwal. Mind you , I was a witness to this and in the crowd as well. The only thing he was capable of was to stop the 'mid day meal ' for poor children. And he says 'my taluk'.
