Billava Association Celebrates Independence Day in Metro

Mumbai, Aug 19: The Billava Association of the metro, celebrated Independence Day at their central office in Santa Cruz (East), recently. Association president Jaya C Suvarna hoisted the national.

He said that our nation can compete with China, if we serve selflessly and with total honesty. It’s for us to understand the joys of freedom as people across the world go through hardships under other regimes. Billava Seva Dal has brought laurels to the association through their exemplary discipline, he said.



Newly-wedded members of Billava Seva Dal, Jagannath Amin and Nayan, Subash Mabian and Poornima, Sudhakar Poojary, and Congress leader Shankar Suvarna, were also felicitated by the association president.

Y Nagesh, association vice-president, N M Sanil, Gopal Jattan, Shankar Suvarna, and Seva Dal member Shyam N Poojary, conveyed Independence Day wishes to the gathering. Seva Dal executive president Shankar D Poojary, welcomed the gathering.

Honorary chief secretary, Nityanand D Kotian, delivered the keynote address and compered the programme. Children rendered the prayers and Seva Dal chief Ganesh K Poojary, proposed the vote of thanks.
