Mangaluru, Mar 25: One person was feared drowned in Netravati river here on Sunday March 25 evening.

Joel D'Souza (27), a resident of Moobidri, went missing while bathing in the river.

It is learnt that Joel alone with his two friends, identified as Sachin and Raghu, had been to the river for a bath on Sunday evening.

However, Joel was pulled in by the currents, while other two managed to reach the river bank.

The police and along with locals and expert swimmers rushed to the spot and search is on to locate the missing Joel D'Souza.
