Mangaluru, Mar 28: Pana Education campus is aptly situated away from the main city amidst quiet and peaceful environment to imbibe holistic learning experience for students from KG to college.
Since its inception, Pana has taken up the pledge to bring about the much needed change in education system. Though the topic of holistic learning and individual approach to learning are much talked about, very few schools go ahead and create curriculum that covers every aspect of a student’s development. Reviving the ancient concept of conscious learning where the ‘Guru’ (teacher) taught their ‘Shishya’ (student) through nature and they learnt from their experience, Pana Education has been a huge success when it comes to holistic education.

The 100 acre residential campus already houses Pana PU College students. The Pana Global School and Pana Institute of Undergraduate Studies, as well as the Hospitality Institute will commence from 2018-19 academic year. Some of the facilities that set Pana apart, include state-of-the-art infrastructure that includes an IBM Lab for emerging technologies, stress-free and spacious classrooms, safe and secure hostels and Homely food. In addition, Pana Education had tied up with AJ Hospital located in Mangaluru to provide any immediate medical care for students, when need arises.
Pana Education’s approach has seen positive results with a tremendous 97% results last year for its PU College. Besides regular classes and activities, students here get extensive competitive exam training from experienced mentors, who have cracked major exams and graduated from IITs and best universities. Hence, the training also helps in providing an insight into the industry students wish to enter. The college provides intensive trainings for students wising to attempt for IIT-JEE (Mains & advanced), NEET, NATA and CA and CPT. Pana PU College offers courses in Science, Commerce and Arts streams.
Pana aims to be the catalyst of change in the education sector, and the education group has went on to create their own a learning method, called the OWN (Open Wisdom Now). The OWN method aims to make learning more fun, where mentors (teachers) guide students through the ‘Visualise’, ‘Virtualise’ and ‘Realise’ method. This method enables students to learn through direct experience, and inculcates a desire to learn by enquiry, play and explore through hand-on experience.
To realise its vision, Pana Education’s KG to college facilities and courses implement the OWN method. The soon to open Pana Global School, has a proposed IB system of education, also aims to develop students curiosity strengthen learning through inquiry. The school has 10:1 student teacher ratio, which assures individual attention to each student. Pana Global School is equipped with digital classrooms and a lot of outdoor activities for children to provide a balanced learning. Currently taking in students from KG till 4th, the school is expected to expand further to comprise high school education in the coming years.
Meanwhile, the Pana Institute of Under Graduate Studies provides degree programmes with add on courses that are in-demand. Most of the courses offered prepare students for today’s world of uncertainties and fast changing technological sphere. Pana Education has established exclusive partnerships with technology and industry leaders to provide students with extended and significant industry exposure from day one.
Distinctive degree programmes offered at Pana education include BBA and BCA, in association with technology giant IBM, as well as B Sc Food and Nutrition and B Sc Hospitality Science. In addition to these, there are regular UG courses including B Sc Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and B Com. Pana also provides students with specialised communication and soft skills development trainings, in its effort to send out industry ready smart professionals to the job market after graduation.
