Bengaluru: Angry at lover's leaning towards daughter, woman kills him

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Mar 30: In an incident which happened in Annapoorneshwari Nagar within the limits of Peenya police station in the city, a woman killed her lover with a chopper mounted on wooden platform used in kitchen. The women chose to butcher the man for eying her 15-year-old daughter and trying to use her to satiate his sexual hunger.

The man who lost his life in this incident was Raghu (32), a native of Kolar Gold Fields. He was working as labourer for a garments factory and lived in T Dasarahalli with his wife and daughter.

Roopa (32) from Hassan district had been married 15 years back. She lived with husband and two daughters in Annapoorneshwari Nagar near Doddabidarakallu. Roopa's husnand and Raghu were colleagues and hence knew each other well. This closeness in course of time, paved way for illicit relationship between Raghu and Roopa.

It is said that this relationship had continued unabated since the last five years. They met now and then and normally Roopa invited Raghu home when her husband was away. However, in the recent past, Raghu had been eying Roopa's 15-year-old daughter and had even tried to have sex with her. Angered by this development, Roopa waited for an opportunity and hacked him to death when it came her way.

Roopa's husband and second daughter had left for the annual fair being held at Tiptur on Tuesday March 27. She invited Raghu home on the night of March 28. Raghu continued with his indecent behaviour on this occasion too and spoke to the girl in an obscene manner. On this issue, verbal friction followed. Roopa, who decided to kill Ragu, mixed sleeping pills with Ragi ball which she offered to him as dinner. Raghu soon went into deep sleep. At around 1.45 am on Wednesday, Roopa tied up the limbs of her paramour and repeatedly hit him with the kitchen chopper indiscriminately at his head, neck, and other body parts. Neighbours heard shouts for help raised by Raghu. They immediately called police control room.

Even after police personnel from Peenya came there and asked the woman to open the door, she did not oblige. Roopa, who was tired of attacking her lover, finally crushed his skull by dropping a boulder. She opened the door and the policemen found blood-stained clothes of Roopa and body of Raghu in a pool of blood. The killer was arrested and the body was sent for postmortem, Peenya police stated. A case of murder was registered in Peenya police station.

Kalavathi, widow of Raghu, said that the illicit relationship between the two was known to both the families. She accused Roopa and her husband of joining together in murdering Raghu.

@Dev kumar mangalore, here it is not not satisfied with love, but his sight on her daughter.Noone tolerate when ones child is going to become a rival in front of own eyes. She deserves a hard punishment ,since whatever lovers mistake,no right to kill him.It was her mistake to invite him to her ,making him to believe and encourageing for a wrong path. One side adultery, other side poisoninghim, and killing him.
