The traditional Bonderam festival of Divar (8 kms from Panaji) was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the islanders. Bonderam festival otherwise known as the flag festival is a annual affair which is celebrated on the second last saturday of the August month by the villagers of the Divar island. The festival packages the flag parade, traditional goan and foreign dances, float parade and fancy dress competitions. Hundreds of people flock to the island to witness and enjoy this seasonal celebration.

    Thank you Daijiworld for the excellent pictures of the Bonderam2008 festival. I really miss DIVAR & the festival floats but Daijiworld helped me get close to Divar. I participated in the festival once with my Dad & Sis and thoroughly enjoyed it.Hope to be there again the next time. Thank you once again Daijiworld, keep up the great work.

    My deep gratitude to Daijiworld for doing the coverage of our BONDERAM (Flag Festival & Reaping the New Corn). Infact I was suppose to be there as in the past but owing to some reasons couldn't make it. But thanks once again and keep up the good work.

    Having proudly participated twice in the Bonderam festival and being a proud son of Divar, I and my family would like to say Dev borem korum to Daijiworld for covering this marvelous festival. This time we sorely missed the festival and being in Divar.
