Mangaluru, Apr 2: Delivering super hit songs with his maiden album ‘Ishtageeth’, singer Lawrence D’Souza is now back with his second album ‘Chintlam’, produced by Veena D’Souza which is all set to be released soon.
‘Chintlam’ contains 13 Konkani songs written by Wilson Kateel, Jocy Sidhakatte, Vincy Lasrado, Vincy Pinto, Joyel Attur, Roshan Sanctis and Lawrence himself. Renowned music director Dolwin Kolalgiri has composed music for eight songs while promising musician Roshan V Carderio has given music for five melodious songs.
Majority of the tunes have been composed by Dolwin Kolalgiri himself while Roshan V Carderio, Vincent Lasrado, Gavin Minezes and Jocy Sidhakatte have composed tunes for a song each. The album has been recorded at Daijiworld Audio Visual Studio. Renowned sound engineer Srinivas from Chennai has mixed and mastered the music.
Famous stars of Konkani music world Prajoth D'Sa, Joshal Sweeda, Joel Attur, Anitha D’Souza, and Ashwin D’Costa have rendered their voice to ‘Chintlam’. Nihal Tauro, Mohammad Iqbal, Dolwin,Gavin, Asha Fernandes, Stevan Arnanha, and Jasmine Inish D’Souza have also lent their voice for the album along with Lawrence who is already popular for his melodious voice.
“In ‘Chintlam’, I have tried to mix melodious, sentimental, and songs full of love and affection. After the success of ‘Ishtageeth’, many of my friends suggested me to do this project. The album will feature 13 foot-tapping songs which are set to win the hearts of Konkani music lovers. It will be a sensational experience, taking listeners on a journey of emotions, of love and cheer, with upbeat songs, composed, lyricised, arranged and sung by renowned talented artistes.
“The recording work is completed and the album is in its final stage of release. Once the album is released, we will post all the songs on music app LVL Tunes which was launched last year and now has become very popular among Konkani music lovers and singers. This app will help Konkani music enthusiasts to learn and practice songs in a better way. Besides the songs which can be played, the app will feature minus tracks, and lyrics of the songs in ‘Chintlam’. LVL Tunes is a free music app which can be downloaded on an Android mobile phone, through Google playstore,” says Lawrence.
“Lawrence D’Souza is an amateur singer, but his love for music has prompted him to bring out a complete music album by bringing together experienced music composer, singers, and lyricists. In his first project ‘Inshtageeth’ itself, he showed the world how passionate he is about music. ‘Chintlam’ is a special album with variety of songs which will definitely make a mark in Konkani music industry,” says Dolwin Kolalgiri, music director of ‘Chintlam’.
