Kasargod: Chikkamagaluru youth ends life by slitting throat in broad daylight

Kasargod, Apr 2: In a shocking incident, a youth from Chikkamagaluru ended his life by slitting his throat in broad daylight at Cherkala Panalam here on Monday April 2.

The deceased has been identified as Harish Naik (30).

Harish, a pan masala seller from Chikkamagaluru took a heavy knife from a sugarcane juice seller and slit his throat on the national highway in Panalam.

The reason for taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

Vidyanagar police rushed to the spot and the body was shifted to the general hospital in Kasargod.

With the help of his identity cards, the police ascertained his native place and contacted the Chikkamagaluru police to convey the information.

DySP P V Sukumaran, Vidyanagar circle inspector Babu Peringoth and sub-inspector Vinod Kumar visited the spot.
