Bengaluru: JD (U) Nitish Kumar faction to contest in assembly elections

Bengaluru, Apr 4: Nitish Kumar faction of JD (U) has decided to contest the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections on its own without any alliance with its traditional partner BJP.

JD (U) will contest in around 30 seats, said sources.

Speaking to the scribes on Tuesday, April 3, Mahima Patel, state president of JD (U) said, "JD (U) will be contesting the assembly elections with the slogan of 'comprehensive development of the state and providing employment for the unemployed youth of the state,”

“JD (U) party gives tickets to only those individuals, who are not corrupt and who have concern for the people. That is why we will contest in only selected constituencies after carefully choosing honest candidates." Patel added.

    Most of the CM of the country are depending on central Govt for their state to develop.
    It is our honorable CM Siddaramaiah without any support developed Karnataka and won the hearts of people.

    Since Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ditched the Grand Alliance of RJD+Congress and returned to the BJP-led NDA and formed new government on 27th July 2017, the state has witnessed at least 200 incidents of communal tension – 64 of them this year alone.
    It seems Nitish has been unable to play the role of ‘Big Brother’ in the state in his new stint with NDA
