Beltangady, Apr 6: A team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested a village accountant for accepting bribe here on Thursday, April 5.

The arrested has been identified as Harish Kumar serving as village accountant of Puttila village limits here.
 
The ACB officials conducted a raid while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a woman over disposal of 94c application. It is said that Harish Kumar had already taken Rs 3,000 earlier to get her work done and was demanding Rs 5,000 more. It was revealed that he was harassing the woman since a year. The ACB officials conducted the raid and arrested Harish Kumar after social activist Surendra Bhangady filed a complaint with them.
 
 
The raid was carried out by SP Shruthi NS, DySP Sudheer Hegde, circle inspector Mohan Kottary, Hariprasad, Umesh , Radhakrishna K, Radhakrishna D A, Prashanth,Vaishali, Rajesh, Rakesh and Ganesh.

    Should make corruption a criminal offence with dismissal and jail time. At present he will only be suspended for a short time then transferred, after that it will be back to business as usual.

    There are some corrupt lawyers in the city who mint money like anything, they demand their payments only in cash, who will raid them?

    One of my poor friend who asked for a receipt for the payment done, instead of giving payment receipt that corrupt lawyer lodged multiple fake police complaints against my friend in different names in many police stations. It's a brazen act, they don't have any fear of the law because all the corrupt system is in their control and these people give legal advise to us....! Can they be trusted for any of their legal advise?
    Thus police has to work on these fake complaints by wasting their precious time instead of working on real issues. This is our system.
    Anyways God will punish those or their families in one or the other way, who do such bad things for people.
    GOD is only the hope.

    complete system of Governance is corrupted by the Politician who spend lot of Money to get elected, then they reap the harvest by offering recruitment or offering lucrative posting to Government employees. Hence the Government Employees follow the same system of harvesting Money from the public. It is vicious cycle. If the Government wants and make up their mind then only they can weed out this menace. Single activist or few activist like Anna Hazare can't break this age old system.

    Not only Harish, there are other Village Accountants too, whose hands will not move if you don't bribe them, even to sign and forward a simple paper that too since many years...simple ex.. After new registration ( of the land), to sign the rtc and forward to higher authorities for the permanent one.. Without bribe, they will not forward it..
    Let us not blame each other that, because of Congress or bjp or jds or any other party which is ruling such incidents happen. Some keep quiet and some bring to the notice to the public. These govt employees will not improve under any party's rule, either in state or in central...congratulations to that madam...

    All corrupt people are from Congress... Congress itself is a corrupt Party. Starting from Nehru to Lallu Panju including Italian Bar dancer are all corrupt.
