Lalu's son Tej Pratap likely to marry Aishwarya Rai next month

Patna, Apr 6 (India Today) : RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has finally found a bride for his elder son Tej Pratap. He is likely to tie the knot with RJD MLA and Bihar's former transport minister Chandrika Rai's elder daughter, Aishwarya.

Chandrika Rai is the son of Daroga Prasad Rai, a former chief minister of Bihar. The engagement is reportedly scheduled for April 18 at Patna's Maurya Hotel and the wedding will probably take place on May 12, according to the sources.

Who is Chandrika Rai?

Chandrika Rai is the son of former chief minister of Bihar Daroga Rai and also an MLA from Parsa, a Vidhan Sabha constituency in Saran district of Bihar.

Daroga was the 10th chief minister of Bihar. He was in the office from February 16, 1970 to December 22, 1970. His son Chandrika is the father of three children, including two daughters and a son. Chandrika's family currently lives in Delhi.

Aishwarya, the daughter of Chandrika Rai, did her schooling from Patna and master's from Delhi.

On the other hand, RJD MLA and spokesman Shakti Singh Yadav said that an official announcement will be made for the wedding. Lalu's family will be the one to make the official announcement, he said.

Shakti said: "As Lalu ji will also join the engagement of Tej Pratap, early justice will be given to him. I am close to Lalu ji, but only the family will confirm the news."

Lalu's elder son Tej Pratap was asked when will he get married on the day of Sushil Modi's son's wedding. Tej said that he gave the responsibility of finding his other half to BJP leader Sushil Modi, because he thought the duty should only be performed by elders.

Sushil Modi is more than happy to perform the duty but he too has given three conditions to Tej Pratap on Twitter.

First: Tej Pratap will not ask for dowry.

Second: He will have to vow to donate his organs after death.

Third: He will not threaten to sabotage anybody's marriage in future.
